Nursing Homes
When a decision is made for a loved one to be in a nursing home it is not an easy one to make. Their whole family needs to make this decision together.
For many that are in nursing homes they feel lonely and abandon many times. Even though they have some personal things around them, it still isn’t home.
It’s very easy, in this busy world in which we live, to fill our lives with so much stuff that we don’t have any time left in our day. For some, you may have to work two jobs just to make ends meet. Whatever the case maybe, we need to visit them. It never surprises me every year that our lives seem to get more complicated that we lose time that we once had for simple things in life that are so important. The things like suppertime. It was everyone sitting down together and eating, sharing about their day and just sharing a meal together. Spending time together as a family. Family values are taught in many different ways. Bottom line is this, one day we will all grow old. No one wants to feel lonely and abandoned. We must do what we can, when we can to make the time to visit with them.
We visit nursing homes and also hold services for them. We read to them, pray with them laugh with them and cry with them.
